Professor Tremolada was interviewed by ClassHorse TV alongside Dr. Zeira, physician at San Michele Veterinary Hospital, to discuss Lipogems in veterinary applications. The treatment, which involves harvesting and grafting autologous adipose tissue, is increasingly utilized for orthopedic conditions not only in humans but also in domestic animals, horses, and beyond.
Dr. Zeira has extensively employed Lipogems adipose tissue treatment to address conditions such as osteoarthritis, tendinopathies, ligament injuries, and joint problems in various animal species.
The treatment, as in human medicine, involves adipose tissue harvesting similar to mini-liposuction, minimal manipulation of the aspirated fat, and inoculation into the target area. Liposuction and treatment occur in a single surgical procedure under aseptic conditions.
Lipogems technology has demonstrated promising results in veterinary medicine due to its ability to preserve mesenchymal cells and the regenerative microenvironment of adipose tissue, promoting natural healing of damaged tissues.
